photography business question?
I am making up a flyer to send out to potential customers and i would like to explain about me. I am a self taught photog and do not have a ton of experience but a natural talent for photography. how do i convey to my customers that i am a great photographer even though i may not have a ton of certificates or a million customers like some of the more established companies in my area? how would i word that for my mailer?
I'd keep any marketing messages very short and punchy and let your images do the talking for you - you sound confident in them and that's a good thing.
3 points is said to be a psychological optimum. e.g.
Corporate
Commercial
Creative
Cover the basics and play on your strengths - e.g. customer service or creativity... I'd go for the personal touch.
If addressing the commercial market you can talk about service levels... anticipate what is important to your client target and give it to them!
I'd also consider calling potential buyers and asking what's important for their particular needs.
Don't ever sell on price is my one golden rule - it'll tie your hands into the lowest area of the market, which has nothing to do with quality!
I'd also suggest cross posting this to the YA advertising and marketing section (under business and finance) - you'll probably get some great advice from the pro's there.
